When a guy who were just checking the instruments played a note on Dirks bass there was a huge cheer because people thought the set had started. During the breakdown of Vitamin, Brandon did like a conducting thing where the whole band stopped and started on his command. After the set people cheered for and encore, Kilmore came out and did a cool DJ solo, then the rest of the Band came out for the encore of 'I miss you' and 'A certain shade of green', people had been shouting that song out all night.

Notes: Played with Hundred Reasons. They didn't play warning, I miss you, or a certain shade of green, although they were on the set list. This was because Brandon has asthma, and it was a club for 500 people. Which, had it's high points, an intimate concert, but the heat was unbelievable, and Brandon just couldn't handle it anymore. Mike kept urging "no smoking in the front row" because we were about 3 feet away. When asked if pot was okay, there was no reply. Brandon took a break after a half hour, during which the group jammed, doing some Jackson 5 "123...abc", and the glorious "Earth Angel" song from back to the future. When he came back on he apologized "for being late." There was no supporting band, so Chris laid a set.

In the beginning some people in the audience threw underwear to the stage, and Brandon had learned the Dutch word 'Dankjewel' (which means thank you).  During Make Yourself the lights went on and the 5000 people screamed along to "I'll Fuck me In My Own Way".  The same happened with the Chorus for Favorite Things when everyone screamed along to "My Favorite Things". Brandon was wearing his Forever Shirt that he has worn on various TV shows.  They played a long version of Glass where they did some improvs.  Jose started drumming faster and faster at one point the band stood around him like they where worshipping him.  When they came back on for the encore Brandon walked too the drums and did a quick drum solo before Jose could take back his place.  Before I Miss You Brandon played some didgeridoo.

07/15/2001 - Jones Beach Amphitheatre Wantagh, NY

Set:  Privilege / Stellar / Make Yourself / The warmth / Nice to know you / Glass / I miss you / Warning / Nebula / Pardon me

Notes: Area One Festival.  Introduced Mike as Michael Jackson, he said it was because of his fro. And when Incubus started to play Nebula, a girl screamed really loudly, all by herself, and practically the entire venue turned around to stare. When they were introducing the song, Brandon said something along the lines of  "I believe this is the part of the show where we're allowed to be insane for about 4 minutes."

07/16/2001 - Jones Beach Amphitheatre Wantagh, NY

Set:  Privilege / Stellar / Make Yourself / The warmth / Nice to know you / Glass / I miss you / Warning / Nebula / Pardon me

Notes: Area One Festival. Mike wore a white headband, and Brandon kept calling him John McEnroe, and referred to his tennis skills. The drink of choice for the guys that night was Corona (except Brandon, he was drinking water on stage.) and Mike was wearing a shirt that said Brooklyn.  Brandon wished the sound guy a happy birthday and said "We'll get you drunk yet dude.".  Mike put a toy cobra in the front of the stage, then Brandon said "watch out everyone, that thing can strike in an instant."

07/18/2001 - Tweeter Center Boston/Mansfield, MA

Set:  Privilege / Clean / Stellar / Make Yourself / Nice to know you / Glass / Drive / Nowhere fast / Warning / The Warmth / Nebula / I miss you / Pardon Me

Notes: Area One Festival.  Between songs Brandon kept saying "thank you very much, Chaka Kanh",

A women threw a Bra up on stage, Brandon thanked the girl and wore it through Warning.  At the end of the set he said "thanks for the classy bra."  He introduced Mike as Michael Jackson.

07/19/2001 - PNC Bank Arts Center Holmdel, NJ

Set:  Privilege / Clean / Stellar / Make Yourself / Glass / Drive / Nowhere fast / Warning / The Warmth / Nebula / I miss you / Pardon Me

Notes: Area One Festival. Brandon continually spit water at Jose, along with throwing water bottles at him too - at one point in the show, Jose brought out a blow-up "Power Ranger" figure - and put it next to his drum set on the stage - this Power Ranger figure was later abused by ALL the band members, and finally thrown behind the stage by Brandon.  After a song Brandon looked at the cameras surrounding the stage and pointed to one and said "Smile - you're on candid camera!"  Brandon replaced the final verse of The Warmth with several oooooohhhh's, like he did last June at the same venue.  Kilmore was wearing a ROOTS t-shirt, José was wearing a cut off skater t-shirt, Dirk was wearing a plain black t-shirt, mike was wearing an old fashioned style Hawaiian t-shirt, and Brandon was wearing the plaid shirt he wore when they appeared on Jay Leno.

07/20/2001 - Parc Jean-Drapeau, Montreal

Set:

Notes: Area One Festival.

07/22/2001 - Live At The Lake Toronto, ON

Set:

Notes: Area One Festival. It poured rain for about an hour before the show, looked like a cold wet concert, but then the sun came out, and it warmed up. It was the perfect setting for a concert right in front of the lake Ontario. The sun was setting behind Brandon and a huge 747 jet flying behind as they were playing "Stellar"...not quite outer space. But kinda cool anyhow. Brandon picked up some condoms that were thrown on stage.. talked about Incubus expanding their merchandise to condoms, and said, "oh look, this one has a phone number on it".  Later on, he said something like "Use Incubus condom, they are very..", than looked at Mike and Mike said "pleasurable". Brandon also introduced Mike a couple times as John McEnroe.  Brandon threw 2 condoms into the crowd. Jose gave out 4 drumsticks at the end. Brandon drank Gatorade. During the performance, Mike had some Gladiator action figure strapped to his back with his guitar strap.

07/24/2001 - DTE Energy Music Theatre Clarkston, MI Set:

Notes: Area One Festival.  Brandon of course took the time out to play his bongo and didjeridoo as well as comment over and over how beautiful a day it was and how lucky everyone was to be alive on such a glorious day.

07/25/2001 - Tweeter Center Chicago/Tinley Park, IL

Set:

Notes: Area One Festival.

07/26/2001 - Midway Stadium Saint Paul, MN

Set:  Privilege / Clean / Stellar / Make Yourself / Nice to Know You / Vitamin / Nowhere Fast / Drive / Warning / The Warmth / Nebula / I Miss You / Pardon Me

Notes: Area One Festival. During the breakdown in vitamin they went into the cover of Like a Virgin by Madonna.....When the guys came out on stage Mike was driving a remote control snake which Brandon called Cobra.  Brandon also made fun of all the people sitting in the bleachers by calling them all a bunch of stoners.

07/28/2001 - Mile High Stadium Denver, CO

Set:  Privilege / Stellar / Clean / Make Yourself / The Warmth / Nice to Know you / Glass / Drive / I miss you / Warning / Nebula / Pardon me

Notes: Area One Festival.  Brandon had a "Men's Health" Magazine, and he kept taking pictures of buff men and taping them to his chest. At one point Brandon turned around to the crowd and exposed a massive hole in his pants. He said "Check it out, I rocked out so hard I put a hole in my ass".  During the break for Vitamin they covered the Police's Walking on the moon.  Someone [not Incubus] walked across the stage wearing a stuffed fish for pants.  Alex was drinking straight Vodka on stage, and Jose and Alex both had Corona's.  Jose kept tossing up his drumsticks and trying to catch them.

08/04/2001 - Latrobe, PA: Rolling Rock Town Fair 2.0

Set:  Priviliege / Clean / Stellar / Make Yourself / Nowhere Fast / Nice to know you / Drive / Nebula / The Warmth / Vitamin / Pardon Me

Notes: Including, Staind and Stone Temple Pilots.  Kilmore came out first and things just went crazy from there...Mike was sporting the brown sunglasses...Dirk cut his hair short and he had shades on and was pounding a rolling rock,,.Brandon was wearing his usual white t-shirt and shorts. the band was really feeling the crowd, so they were going all out when they performed....Mike was introduced again as Michael Jackson, Bob Ross (the dude who paints on TV) and John McEnro by Brandon.  In the middle of "Vitamin" Brandon sung a few lines of Lionel Richie's song "Hello".  A girl threw a bra up on stage and Brandon tried to put it on his Djembe and when he couldn't get it to stay on, he threw it off to the side. Since it was the Rolling Rock Town Fair, he asked if people were getting free beer and when the audience responded he goes "What?...Why not?"  He also kept waving to the crowd and saying HI.

08/08/2001 - Powerstation Auckland, New Zealand

Set:  Privilege / Clean / New Skin / Stellar / Make Yourself / Nice to know You / Glass / Nowhere Fast / Favorite Things / Drive / Warning / Vitamin / Nebula / The Warmth / Pardon Me

Notes: The venue got changed from the Powerstation to the larger St James Theatre.  Local act Savant opened for Incubus.  Brandon played the bongo for the intro to Clean and for a few other songs, which got the crowd going. He also bounced to keep the mosh pits' timing through Nowhere Fast. Him and the Jose had a little "Dueling drums" thing going on between songs (with the bongo) which led into some improv from the rest of the band. Mike had a mean afro going on. Did a nice fade out effect to keep the noise up whenever he'd swap guitars between songs. Brandon also commented how great it was to feel so loved so far from home. Afterwards the crowd was cheering for an encore, and the band came out and thanked everyone for coming but they couldn't play another because of the hole in the floor that had appeared during the moshing. When the floor broke, Brandon asked: "Is there a carpenter in the house?"

08/10/2001 - Fox Studios Sydney, Australia

Set:  Drive (acoustic) / Interview / Pardon Me (acoustic)

Notes: Broadcast live on Channel [V] Australia.  Only Mike and Brandon played.  They did a bit of an interview, where Brandon explained how he didn't cut his dreads, they were burnt off while shooting a Pepsi commercial. They also did the usual Chuck answers, saying he was "a girls phys-ed teacher". Some girl called in and said to Brandon:  "yeah my friend here has had a really shitty day and it would make her feel better if you took off your shirt"  and after he refused a couple times Brandon says, "well I only get naked when other people get naked" (assuming no-one in the crowd would get naked), but a few people took off their shirts, but he still refused....[thank god].  There were other callers as well, but this one was by far the most absurd.

08/11/2001 - Enmore Theater Sydney, Australia

Set:  Privilege / Clean / New Skin / Stellar / Make Yourself / Nice to Know You/ Glass / Nowhere Fast / Favorite Things / Drive / Warning / Vitamin / Nebula / The Warmth / Pardon Me / Wish You Were Here / I Miss You / A Certain Shade of Green

Notes: Great show. Brandon called Mike John McEnroe, the tennis player, because of his big, curly hair. Before Wish you Were Here a girl threw a bra onstage and Brandon had it hanging out of his pocket for the remainder of the gig. The band were clearly pleased with the crowd reaction and seemed very happy to be there. Brandon was quite energetic and they were very tight. During Vitamin they broke into an extended jam with a snippet of a Lionel Ritchie song "Hello? Is it me you're looking for?".  Brandon kept saying 'bamboozled'. The crowd sand a lot and at one point the whole theatre lit up for "Fuck Me In My Own Way" during Make Yourself, with the crowd roaring that line while Brandon closed his eyes and just smiled.
